Bleed Ring

Add controlled bleed, vent, flush, or calibration access directly at a flanged process joint.

The Haygor HBR is a full-face ring retained by the flange through-bolting. Published selections include ANSI 2–4 inch and metric sizes, ANSI classes through 2500, Raised Face, RTJ and DIN geometry, single or dual 1/4- or 1/2-inch ports, and multiple corrosion-resistant alloys.

What is a full-face bleed ring?

A full-face bleed ring is a pressure-containing flange accessory with the complete bolt-hole pattern of the mating joint and one or two radial service passages into the process bore. It is installed between compatible flange faces and retained by the same through-bolting that clamps the joint.

The service connection creates a controlled point for bleeding, venting, flushing, or connecting calibration equipment without machining a port into the mating process flange. The ring itself is not a diaphragm seal, valve, manifold, or calibration standard; those functions must be provided by the complete engineered assembly and procedure.

A flange class or PN designation is not a universal working-pressure value. The allowable pressure-temperature envelope is governed by the selected material, flange standard, size, face style, gasket or RTJ ring, bolting, port components, fabrication, applicable code and the lowest-rated part of the completed assembly.

What is a bleed ring?

A bleed ring is a full-face flange accessory with one or two radial service connections that communicate with the process bore. It is installed in a compatible flanged joint and held by the through-bolting, providing an engineered access point for bleeding, venting, flushing, or connection of calibration equipment.

Is the Haygor HBR a diaphragm seal?

No. The HBR is a pressure-containing flange accessory and does not contain a sensing diaphragm or instrument fill fluid. It can be used in the same process-measurement systems as diaphragm seals, but its function is to provide service-port access at the flange joint.

What is the difference between the HBR Bleed Ring and the HFR Calibration / Flushing Ring?

The HBR is a full-face ring with flange bolt holes and is retained directly by the joint through-bolting. The HFR is Haygor's calibration / flushing ring accessory published for HFF Flush Flanged and HFP Flanged Pancake seal assemblies. Select between them by reviewing the actual flange stack, seal geometry, face style, bore, bolt pattern, dimensions, and controlled drawing.

Which bleed-ring sizes are published?

Haygor's published ordering information lists 2-inch, 3-inch, and 4-inch ANSI sizes plus DN50, DN80, and DN100. An other-as-specified code is also listed. Several PN rating rows mention DN125, so DN125 and any size outside the primary size table should be confirmed with Haygor before design release.

Which pressure classes are listed for the HBR?

The published ANSI selections are Classes 150, 300, 600, 900, 1500, and 2500. Published DIN/EN-style PN selections include PN 10/40, PN 10/16, PN 25/40, PN 63, PN 100, PN 160, and PN 250 with size limitations. A class or PN designation is not a single universal pressure value; allowable pressure depends on material, temperature, size, standard, bolting, gasket or ring, ports, and the complete assembly.

Which flange-face styles are available?

Haygor publishes ANSI Raised Face, ANSI Ring Joint (RTJ), and DIN Raised Face configurations. The ring face, bore, gasket or RTJ groove, flange standard, nominal size, rating, and mating components must be reviewed as one joint.

Can the bleed ring have one port or two?

Which bleed connections are listed?

Why do some Haygor documents use HBF while the current website uses HBR?

Haygor's current navigation and configurator label the product HBR – Bleed Ring. The August 2021 diaphragm-seal ordering guide labels the full-face product HBF – Full Face Bleed Ring. Use the model designation generated by the live configurator or confirmed on Haygor's quotation, especially when matching legacy documentation.
