The Haygor HFR is designed for HFF Flush Flanged and HFP Flanged Pancake seals, with standard ANSI 2–4 inch sizes, listed DIN sizes, Raised Face or RTJ geometry, and single or dual threaded or socket-weld ports.

What is a calibration / flushing ring?

A calibration / flushing ring is a separate flange accessory with one or two radial service ports. It is installed next to a compatible diaphragm seal in the process-flange stack, creating a controlled connection point at the seal face without changing the instrument fill system.

Depending on the engineered procedure, the port can support flushing or purging media, venting or draining, or connection of a known pressure source for an in-place check. The HFR does not replace the diaphragm seal, process isolation valves, or an approved calibration and lockout procedure.

    A single or dual threaded or socket-weld connection accepts the engineered valve, tubing, plug, purge, drain, or calibration line.

    Service fluid or reference pressure is applied

    Under a controlled isolation procedure, the port can be used to move flush or purge media, vent or drain trapped fluid, or connect a known pressure source.

    The port is secured before return to service

    Valves, plugs, caps, leak tests, torque, and documentation are completed in accordance with the approved procedure before the process is restored.

Published availability through ANSI Class 2500 does not establish one universal HFR pressure rating. Confirm the allowable pressure-temperature rating of the complete ring, ports, valves or plugs, diaphragm seal, gasket or RTJ ring, flanges, and bolting.

Seal compatibility

What is a calibration / flushing ring?

A calibration / flushing ring is a separate flange accessory with one or two radial service ports. It is installed in the flange stack next to a compatible diaphragm seal so technicians can connect a controlled flushing, purging, venting, draining, or calibration-pressure line without removing the seal from the process connection.

Is the HFR itself a diaphragm seal?

No. The HFR is an accessory and does not contain the sensing diaphragm or instrument fill system. Haygor publishes it for use with the HFF Flush Flanged Seal and HFP Flanged Pancake Seal. The diaphragm seal performs the pressure isolation; the HFR provides service-port access at the process interface.

Which diaphragm seals is the HFR intended to fit?

Haygor identifies the HFR for use with the HFF and HFP models. The published alignment tab is included for those Haygor assemblies. Any use with another manufacturer or another seal geometry requires dimensional, face-style, gasket, bore, bolting, and pressure-temperature review.

Which HFR sizes are listed?

What is the difference between Raised Face and RTJ HFR rings?

Raised Face code A is machined for a compatible raised-face flange joint and uses the published RF alignment-tab geometry when paired with HFF or HFP. Ring Joint code R includes the applicable RTJ groove geometry. The selected face style, gasket or ring number, mating flange, class, bolting, and joint stack-up must all match.

Can the HFR have one port or two?

Yes. The ordering guide lists single- and dual-port arrangements. Dual ports can support a defined inlet-and-outlet flushing path or separate service connections when the piping and operating procedure are engineered for that purpose. Port orientation and valve or plug access should be established before fabrication.

Which flushing connections are available?

Published choices are single or dual 1/4-inch NPT female, single or dual 1/2-inch NPT female, single or dual 1/4-inch pipe socket weld, and single or dual 1/2-inch pipe socket weld. What pressure rating applies to an HFR?

Haygor publishes HFR availability through ANSI Class 2500. A class designation is not a single universal pressure value. The allowable pressure-temperature rating of the completed assembly depends on nominal size, face style, material, flange standard, gasket or RTJ ring, bolting, ports, valves or plugs, the diaphragm seal, and applicable piping rules.
